Adult Religious Education

Unitarian Universalists live and love with a certain set of principles, but the basic core of our belief is that we are heretics (from the Greek Heratakos), so we question everything on our reasonable search for truth and meaning.

This search for our truth doesn’t have to be traveled in a tunnel alone.

The UU Church of Fresno stands with you to offer a glimpse into UU Identity and Faith Development.  We accomplish this with small group discussions, theology coursework, and multiple events from workshops to interpersonal sharing of experiences.

We also offer year-round Spiritual Quest groups, small lay-led weekly discussion meetings where we delve deeply into our principles or our covenant.  We work together to learn right relationships, deep listening and communication skills as we grow together on our spiritual journey.

You too may get involved as student, teacher, or event planner!

Keep a keen eye on the UU Newsletter and Green Sheet for upcoming offerings of courses, or come up with your own idea for a course or group you’d like to share with others.  This can mean anything from our book group to a medical ethics course, from our zen meditation gathering to humanist discussion groups.

Spirituality comes in many forms, as does the support we each need to affirm and promote our personal quest and understanding of Unitarian Universalism.
