Membership in the Unitarian Universalist Church of Fresno
What Signing The Membership Book Means
To become a member of the Unitarian Universalist Church of Fresno a person must be at least 16 years old, or have completed a "Coming of Age" program of the church. This church is an open and welcoming community and does not discriminate on the basis of race, gender, ethnicity, physical or mental ability, sexual orientation, class, education or religious metaphor (or lack thereof.) One joins the church by attending a new-comer orientation, or speaking to the minister about the church and then signing the Membership Book.
When you join you affirm:
That you feel in harmony with the Purposes and Principles of Unitarian Universalism, and with the Purpose, Mission and Covenant of the Unitarian Universalist Church of Fresno,
That in your own way (your own spiritual practice, efforts toward growth, and efforts toward social justice) you are committed to living these agreements out,
That you will participate with regularity in the programs and the community life of the congregation
That you will do your part in the democratically run organization of the church.
