Dear Members and Friends,
We are about to create a new, updated Member and Friend Photo Directory!!
Unitarian Universalist Church of Fresno’s 5 year Vision Plan and the 3 year Generosity Plan both contained an all-church project of a photo directory. In this time of the pandemic and limited in-person contact, we felt we wanted to go ahead with this project. In order for this to be successful, we will need your help…
Utilizing our PowerChurch database software, we want to add our members and friend’s photos to our current directory format. The completed Members & Friends Photo Directory will be made available in a printable format via email to Members and Friends for whom we have a valid email. Printed copies of the directory will be available, upon request.
WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU??
1. UPDATE INFORMATION: We ask that you use our form CLICK HERE to update your current directory data. For the safety and protection of our youth, we only print names of children under the age of 18, with parent permission. We appreciate all updates so we have the most current information on file. If you do not wish your information to be published in upcoming directories, there are OPT-OUT options. (If you do not have internet access, you can contact the office 322-6146 to update your information.)
2. SUBMIT PHOTOS: Submit your family photo(s) separately via email: Photos@uufresno.org. The photos in the directory will be reduced to approximately 1 ½” wide x 1 ¼” tall. (If you do not have access to email to submit a photo, contact the office 322-6146 and we can discuss options that may work better for you to submit.)
For consistency purposes, your photo(s) should be:
- JPG (also referred to as JPEG) is the preferred format and most widely used on the web. To ensure that your full-width images look good across any device, big or small the recommended size is 2400x1600px. If you are unsure if your image(s) will work, email what you have and you will be contacted, if necessary.
- Photos should be in color.
- Have a neutral background.
- Submit one photo to represent your family. If you would also like to submit individual photos, you can do so and will be used internally for individual profiles in our database. (If you have a child(ren), under the age of 18, it is your discretion whether you are comfortable including them in your family photo. Individual photos submitted of children will be used for internal purposes only, they will not be published in a directory.)
- Please provide the name(s) of each person in a photo.
- Separate arrangements can be made for those unable to email. Please contact Cheyenne or Cleo; their contact information is listed below.
Submission of your data and photos is your confirmation that you authorize its use in our upcoming directories unless you OPT-OUT. If you do not wish to “publish” your data in the directories, please check the OPT-OUT OF PUBLICATION boxes on the above-noted form. If you do opt-out, your information will be used for internal purposes only.
The directory is intended for use only within the congregation and should not be used for other purposes; however, please understand that we cannot control how someone may use the directory.
